Gas exchange through the cork plays a major role in the development of wines.
This presentation will highlight the findings regarding the CO₂ permeability of corks intended for sparkling wines, as well as
the influence of technological parameters such as the materials used,
the assembly of components and the compression applied during corking on
their barrier performance.
