Biopythos is a French manufacturer of ceramic jars, amphorae, and eggs (stoneware and porcelain), with capacities from 1 to 10,000 liters. Our jars are made in Limoges, France. They are used for winemaking or wine aging, the refinement of spirits, oils, beers, and any value-added liquid.
We are committed to working locally, so the vast majority of our raw materials come from French quarries and our ceramic formulation is produced by a company in Aixe-sur-Vienne (87). We design and manufacture our vats in our workshop in Panazol (87).
Control of the entire production process gives us complete mastery of all the characteristics of our stoneware and porcelain jars, amphorae, and eggs, especially in terms of firing temperature. This allows us to adjust the permeability of the ceramic and thus offer several micro-oxygenation rates to suit the needs of winemakers.
The food safety of these materials is validated by the independent laboratory Société Française de Céramique.
