MYTIK DIAM: a complete range at the service of sparkling wines
In recent years, the Mytik Diam range for sparkling wines has offered the Champagne market truly innovative closure solutions for optimized bottle wine ageing.
Mytik Diam 10: the cork for cellar ageing Champagne
Mytik Diam 10 has been designed to maintain high and consistent mechanical properties for over 10 years. Accelerated ageing tests have confirmed the exceptional durability of this cork, the most efficient on the market. Its mechanical capacities notably allow for improved preservation of C02 pressure over time.
MD10 has a very low Oxygen Transfer Rate to ensure optimal evolution of the bottled wine and the amount of O2 desorbed from the cork is designed to be much lower than that of traditional corks, and this is achieved homogeneously from one cork to the next.
Mytik Diam Tirage: control your “ prises de mousse ” secondary fermentation under cork.
For many, aging under cork brings wines greater elegance, complexity and finesse. In collaboration with major Champagne houses, Diam Bouchage thus developed this year 2 cork closures that are specially designed for bottling and maturing wines “sur lattes”.
With 2 distinct permeabilities, MD5Ti and MD10Ti provide perfectly controlled, slow and consistent “sur lattes” maturation of sparkling wines without any risk of sensorial deviation or undesirable oxidation. In addition to providing the same guarantees as other Diam closures, Mytik Diam Tirage has the distinctive characteristic of being shorter to ensure correct positioning of the agraph and easier disgorgement.
Diam Bouchage or 20 years of innovation
Born from a breakthrough innovation that revolutionized the ageing of wines in bottles, the French corkmaker made R&D a priority, which led to a real transformation of the cork stopper market.
Its DIAMANT® process, still unique today, ensures deep cork cleaning thanks to the use of supercritical CO2 at differentiated pressures to eliminate all TCA particles responsible for cork taint.
Diam Bouchage also possesses specific manufacturing technology that enables the oxygen transfer to be precisely controlled in each closure, year after year, thus guaranteeing perfect consistency from one bottle to another. This incomparable process has made the closure more than a simple esthetic choice, but a genuine enological tool at the service of winemakers.
For 2025, the company is already talking about new technological advances in the coming months for the bubble market. A great way to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the first Mytik cork on the Champagne market!
