Innovation awards | Maison Melan Moutet - Muselet YO project
As at every VITeff since 1984, the Innovation Prize organised by Epernay Agglo Champagne rewards the most innovative companies in the wine industry, and Maison Mélan Moutet has come up with its "Muselet YO" product.
The three-legged wirehood called "YO" is designed to hold the cork stopper in place on the ring to keep it watertight. It has 3 legs, unlike traditional wirehoods which have four. This concept makes it possible to reduce the weight of the wirehood by 15-20%, thereby helping to reduce packaging.
